It gets quite sad having to begin each tag post with an apology, you know…
Hullo wonderful folks of Planet Earth (and elsewhere),
It really is unfair that I happen to be such a lazy (sometimes inhumanly busy) individual because it does this wonderful human no justice at all, really. You know, Ava over at Reads, Rhythms and Ruminations, is this talented, creative, funny and- well, if I go on, we’ll be here the whole day; but I’d suggest you check out her blog and you’d know right away where I’m coming from. But my point is, Ava, the epic blogger, tagged me to this awesome tag where one gets to look back and appreciate the little things. And since I do that quite often in my mind, I find it a great chance that I’ve gotten tagged to officially write it all here on my blog. So thank you, Ava!
And now onto the questions~
1. Who was your very first follower (if you can find out)? Tag them and give them a shout out!
Well I remember that she was the very first comment that I ever got, the very first that had made my eyes the size of saucers and placed a giddy smile on my face, and, if my memory serves me right, she was also the first follower. I’m speaking of Thegirlwhofearoblivion. Sadly, she hasn’t posted anything since a long while now but the posts she already had up were very relatable!
2. What was the last milestone you reached?
*insert slightly creepy but very genuine smiling face here* The last milestone I reached was reaching 100+ followers! Like, remember how excited I was about 50,80, and 90? Now imagine me with over 100 followers; I literally can’t believe it and I know that loads of you talented humans have reached way more than that but to little Ranter here, that’s huge! So thank you all, really; I couldn’t have been happier and it all comes back to the support you people give me xx
3. What was the very first post you posted on your blog? Share it with us!
Well, excuse the slightly unoriginal title, but it was: Welcoming Rant. I think I talked about some heavy stuff there, but yeah, check it out here if you like. (I mean, it was a tad heavy but not so bad, if I say so myself, hehe)
4. Who was your most recent follower? Tag them and give them a shout out!
My most recent follower is this wonderful blogger over at Meltingpotsandothercalamities. Book reader? Check. TV series watcher? Check. Anime watcher? Check. Author? Check. It’s all the best qualities in one, really. And thank you for the follow! Each one really makes my day.
5. What was the last post you posted and who was the very first person who took their time to click the like button? Give them a shout out!
My latest post was The FPOB Mass Collab (I still get tingles of excitement recalling how much fun that was). The very first person liking it was the fabulous Luna from My Irrelevant Thoughts. Seriously, she has the most down-to-earth content ever and she’s simply great.
6. How many months have you been blogging for?
Well, officially speaking, I started it back in April, 2016. I had a mad streak of posts and then disappeared for a month or so because of my exams (God.. it was war..) and I had been dead back in December too ( remember my revival? Ah, good times.) So yeah, on and off again but still, I always return to feel like I’m coming back home.
7. Do you have any bloggers you’re friends with? Give them a shout out.
Oh bloody hell.. is this a trick question? Because it may seem easy but I assure you, it bloody well isn’t. I have so many epic blogging mates round here! Besides, what if I consider the blogger my friend and they don’t? Talk about awkward. Or what if they consider me a friend and, although I’m admittedly very honoured and flattered, I forget to mention them? Or what if my amnesiac self forgets to mention a dear friend and they get offended? The anxiety level is over the charts now.
But okay, I’ll mention the few that I’m relatively really chummy with but I promise you, everyone that comments or even drops a like has an automatic spot in my heart.
So, there’s my virtual/internet-twin Ava herself, the phenomenal Mahriya @ My Bookish Life, the passionate Dez @ dez | the fun in reading books, the relatable girlies from Closet Readers @ Closet Readers, the sweet Birdie @ Birdie Bookworm, the strong and lovely E from Queertastic, the wonderful Skye @ Azura Skye and then just recently the fellow Sherlockian, Snowanna of 221B.
8. Who originally created the last meme or tag you participated in? Give them a shout out!
Err… *looks up the last tag I did with those specifics* Oh would you look at that? The last tag would be the This or That tag, originally created by Ayunda @ Tea and Paperbacks.
9. Have you any social media related to your blog?
Why, I actually happen to have that, yes. There’s my Instagram, Twitter, and Tumblr. I’m not entirely day-to-day active there with the posts, but I’d love to see any of you around!
10. Last but not least …. Just say thanks to all your followers.
Thank you! You’re not just my followers, you’re my friends, each one of you. You’re the epic readers that pause to give me a few minutes of your day (because I’m normally talkative and write lengthy posts– see? I’m doing it again). Thank you for the support, the likes, the comments, the follows, the tags, the nominations– the everything, really. You people are phenomenal, extraordinary and I thank God everyday for blessing me with you all.
Awww, this is sooo cute!!! Thank you for mentioning me, it means A LOT!!!😘🔝💖

Thank you! I was in class when I saw what you’d written, and I had to restrain myself from being too obvious, lol. Also, which posts do you like? I’m just curious.

I was going to go over and comment on what I liked myself but since you asked I’ll have to let you know that the post entitled ‘A matter of Followers and Comments’ is one that I definitely DEFINITELY relate to and damn, it brought back memories. Because I thought just the same as you did but soon learnt that I like my small circle anyway (but hell yeah do I scream and jump up and down every time I get a new follower!).
Also, your Ghosts series; I haven’t read except Part 1 or 2 so far but bloody hell.. I’m in love and hooked! Will fangirl on that over at your blog because that’s where this should belong xx
(PS. I don’t think you post on obscure stuff xx)

Yeah, I was having a bad day when I wrote, “A Matter of Followers and Comments,” and funnily enough, I got some of my best blogging advice that day. So I’m grateful for that. Thanks for your thoughts about the “Ghosts” series! That makes me happy. And I said I thought I blogged about obscure stuff cause barely anyone reads Webtoons lol😅

It’s always great to put your thoughts out there, whether it’s a good or a bad day since it normally gives good outcomes anyway~
And I look forward to reading the rest of it, and giving you more of my thoughts on it (and checking out your book, of course)! Also also, I do check out some Webtoons from time to time myself, and I do enjoy them; so I say, even if most people don’t know of it, at least you’re making it now more known xx

Yay! Can’t wait to see your thoughts on them! And which Webtoons do you check out?

Nothing specific really–if the summary draws me in, I’m sold XD But since I’m a hopeless romantic, I guess I get drawn to romance generally. Recently started Orange Marmalade, heard of it?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yes, I’ve read some Orange Marmalade. To be honest, I liked it more in the beginning; as the series went on, I only liked one or two characters. Do you take recommendations?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Of course I take recommendations! Fire away please (err.. not literally with the firing; I haven’t learnt how to dodge a bullet yet, hehe). The plot appears alright with me so far, but I do agree that I feel like skimming over loads of it from time to time too. What suggests of you have in mind?

Well, if romance is your thing, I recommend instantmiso! She’s an amazing author and illustrator, and her romances are really good. And although I feel as though Cheese in the Trap shouldn’t be a romance, it’s good too, but it’s very confusing in the beginning. It’s better on reread. And some of my favorites that aren’t romance are Dr. Frost, Annarasumanara, Space Boy, and Saphie the One Eyed Cat.

*hurriedly scribbles this over on TBR list* *studious nodding* Got it! Sophie the One Eyed Cat? Now that’s something I’m searching up right this second. Thank you for these certainly epic titles, I’ll be sure to endeavour them right away~ And I’ll definitely be on the look-out for more recommendations on your blog xx

Since Webtoon is kinda picky over the spelling, it’s Saphie. And thanks! I hope you enjoy them!

Ooopsie.. guess my glasses aren’t all that good after all. Thanks for letting me know and seriously, I look forward to reading ’em all!

Nah, it’s fine. My spellcheck always tries to make it “Sophie”. And I hope you enjoy them! Lemme know what you think!

Thank YOU so much for the shout out!! And I’m just glad you’re back! But it’s quite sad that now that you’re back, it’s me who’s not able to update my blog so much. (Blame my work schedule! Haha) And seeing your very post post (yes, I read it just now) it reminds me so much why I love reading your blog! 🙂
Congratulations on getting that many readers, by the way. You deserve it!

Dez, believe me, you deserve all the shoutouts the world has to offer ❤
And it sucks that work is getting you super busy but yo, that's what makes you more epic: the fact that you can juggle such demanding work AND have a phenomenal blog (Bless your soul, mate).
And thank you! That means really, really a lot to me coming from you! I'll wait for your wonderful poems and reviews whenever they come, and for however long it takes, so you just do your best and don't push yourself too hard!
And thank you one more time xx
