Howdy!
How’s everyone? Enjoying the last bits of November? I surely hope so!
So I was tagged by my very lovely friend Dez from @Dez| The Fun In Reading Books. I’m telling you, ladies and gentlemen, this human has one of the best blogs and personalities I’ve had the pleasure of coming across; so do yourself a favour and check her blog out!
So what’s the tag? The rules go as follows:
1. Thank the person who nominated you
2. Post a quote for 3 consecutive days (1 quote for each day)
3. Nominate three new bloggers each day
So today’s quote is *drumroll* ….
I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned these two facts but:
a. I take such a pleasure in reading quotes; and I love quotes so much that writing one from my ‘favourites’ list everyday may last a decade and more– it’s that bad, yes.
b. SHERLOCK HOLMES! Oh goodness… if I could just begin to describe my admiration to that classical book series, we’d never see the end of it. And I don’t love it so much just because Benedict Cumberbatch made an epic TV series of it. No sir, it goes way beyond that too.
And that sadly concludes the fangirl session on quotes and being a major Sherlockian. I have a passion for the truth and unmasking lies, so this quote takes the top of my list.
Oh yes, the nominees!
I tag:
I wish I could tag everyone all at once, but I guess that’ll have to wait until tomorrow’s post.
Know the quote, though? A fellow Sherlockian yourself? Let me know!
Loads of love,
Midnight Ranter (aka Ayaka)
PS. I changed up the blog’s theme– I felt like I needed something more to the immaculate side. What do you think of the new one?
Haven’t read the series but will definitely check this one out! Some of my other friends seem to really love it too but now I’m convinced that I have to put in on my TBR! Nice quote and love your new theme!! I had to double check first because I thought I clicked the wrong blog. Haha xD

It’s a wonderful series if you’re a fan of good mystery! And I’m glad you like my theme! I know it’s a 180 difference from the old one, but a change IS refreshing XD

I love mysteries!! Maybe I’ll get the series next month so I can start reading it early next year! 🙂
Btw, have you finished reading Cress?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I’m certain you won’t regret it, then!
And yes! I’ve finished Cress, went over to Winter; finished that too, lamented over the fact that I’m sadly done with one of my all-time favourite series, then reread Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and now I’m reading the second book in that trilogy, Hallow City. Which book are you reading now?

I just started reading Cress and so far I’m enjoying it! I think it’ll take me a couple more days (or so) to finish it since I have events coming up this weekend but I can’t wait to finish it and jump into Winter!!
I’ve heard about the series Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children too but not sure if I should read the series or just watch the movie. Is it any good?

I wish I could read Cress all over again~ I’m telling you, mate, the series just keeps on getting better and better the more you move along!
And about Miss Peregrine, it IS a wonderful series, alright! I’ve written a full review here (why does this feel like self-promotion? XD ): https://midnightranterblog.wordpress.com/2016/06/05/miss-peregrines-home-for-peculiar-children-book-review/
If you want to know more about what it is and everything.
And as a firm believer of books being almost always much better than the movies, I’d suggest that you try the books first; the movie got me rather confused XD

Well, I agree that books are always much better than the movies! But having not enough time to read even those I have on my TBR this month, I don’t think I can add more to them. But I’ll keep this series in mind!
And who said you can’t re-read Cress?! Haha. 😀 I’m half done with it and like you said, it just keeps on getting better! 🙂

The problem is that you could say I’m rather afraid of rereading. I just don’t want the epicness I felt the first time round to fade away, you know? I only ever reread 3 or so books in my life, and those were certainly great experiences. So maybe I’ll go for a second round soon!
And I get the whole TBR-and-time issue you’re having; it’s always the case with me. Just prioritise, I guess. It’s a great trilogy, but then, it won’t disappear if you leave it aside for a month or two more (hehe). But what can I say? “Too many books, too little time.” Every reader’s dilemma XD

YOU LOVE SHERLOCK TOO? WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME! *FANGIRLING*. I haven’t read the books yet, but the TV SERIES IS JUST ASDFGHJKLOMGAJKFLS!!!! The books are on my TBR, but right now I’m just waiting for new years day because of 1st of Jan = NEW EPISODE! And this quote has to be one of my favourites!
And also, LOVE your new blog theme. At first I was like, right blog? I then I saw the name and was admiring how nice it looks, much better than ,your old one!
*Post Comment* WAIT, you nominated me? YAYY! This is such a fun tag and I’ve never done it before so will be posting tomorrow onwards with my quotes!

This is my second time replying because my wifi connection decided to act like a complete arsehat the first time round…
*ehm*
OH MY GOD!!! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN THIS WHOLE TIME? I can’t believe I had a fellow Sherlockian right around the corner and I was completely oblivious to it! *facepalm*
I absolutely adore that TV show; it takes the top of my all-time-favourite-shows (which isn’t that big of list, but it’s there); and I CAN’T WAIT FOR SEASON 4 EITHER! Have you watched The Abominable Bride? What did you think of it?
And I’m really glad you liked the blog transformation! It’s a bit of a big jump from the last one, so I’m glad that went alright 🙂
Also..
OF COURSE I NOMINATED YOU! I always look forward to what you have to say on these tags round here, so I can’t wait to see your favourite quotes~

Sherlock is amazing! I love that show and Benedict Cumberbatch! Can’t wait for season 4 though. They make us wait for so long!! And yes Sherlock quotes are the best kind of quotes.

I knooooow! We wait a decade for only three episodes! But in a way, I could say it’s worth the wait and yet… God, no, I can’t wait for New Years XD

All the wait is worth!! The sherlock fandom is the most enduring of them all. But we should be allowed to complain.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Indeed indeed. Plus, if we didn’t complain, how would we find others that share our passion in the fandom?

Exactly! The sherlock fandom is the kind that GROWS OLD TOGETHER (due to the enormous amount of waiting and aging in between)
