The Versatile Blogger Award

Heya wonderful folks!

Seven hundred and seven years ago, I was nominated by the astounding, most gracious and epic lady, Dezel, from dez | the fun in reading books for The Versatile Blogger Award. Thank you so blooming much, mate; and I apologise for my late post on it. I realised that doing such posts eons after being nominated could be a tad bit rude (okay, maybe too rude) so I am really sorry about that.

And, just saying, her blog is simply beautiful and her posts and book reviews take the top of my favourites’ list, so check it out to grace your eyes and mind a bit 🙂

The rules of said award are:

-Thank your nominator;
-Share the award on your blog;
-State 7 things about yourself;
-Choose 7 new nominees who have fewer than 300 followers;
-Notify them via social media.

Now onto the 7 deadly facts about yours truly:

  1. I am quite the bibliophilic, as you may have already noticed. I love purchasing books, stacking them on my wooden shelf, and looking at them when I feel down. Obviously, I read said books but.. I just love looking at them (and smelling them, okay? I’m weird. Fine.), it’s calming.
  2. I’m the eldest of four girls. And being the eldest somehow made me automatically sound older than my age and, in a way, quite mature for my age. That’s one thing that I think I liked from being the responsible one.
  3. I’m quite the romantic chum. Romance–not the cheesy one– gets to me. I like reading stories with romance in them and not romance with a story to it. Like YA romance, they’re too adorable. You get my point?
  4. I speak 3 languages– Japanese, English and Arabic. Not fluent in all three but I do my best.
  5. I wished to become a forensic scientist, or a psychologist; but my father is trying to persuade me in looking into Aesthetic Medicine.
  6. I like deep talks. Most people I know shy away from deep talks or just avoid them altogether but I just love them. I love hearing your views on things and matters and seeing where we’re alike and different. It’s a part of being human and I love it.
  7. Last but not least, I love this community. I love all the comments I get on the blog and all the thoughts and compliments.All the people and virtual mates. They get me going when no sugar or caffeine can possibly drive me; and I’m eternally thankful for that.

And onto the nomination of the wonderful bloggers:

  1. TheNightOwl
  2. Azura Skye
  3. TrainOfThought
  4. Shraddhatandelwritings
  5. My Mind Speaks Aloud
  6. Ivy Iris
  7. You! I nominate you, epic reader and blogger. Just let me know when you decide to do the award and I’d love to read facts about yourself!

Hope you enjoyed my post and you ought to visit these lovely people mentioned up there, they deserve all success.

Love,

Midnight Ranter

  1. Aww. Thank your for your kind words! I have three sisters too but I’m the second. Guess we both know how hard it is (and fun!!) to have three girls around you all the time. 😀 And hey, it’s not weird to smell books! I do it sometimes. (Okay, maybe a lot of times!) 😉
    I don’t really talk a lot a lot (except with my sisters and bestfriends) but I like deep talks too. Occasionally, I guess. 🙂
    It’s nice to know more about you, Midnight Ranter! And can’t you give us something to call you beside Midnight Ranter? It’s just weird calling you with that name. 🙂

  2. I know I’m quite late in but congratulations! It feels so wonderful der fully being nominated for an award.
    I love looking at my bookshelf too!
    I’m a sucker for YA romances too.
    I live deep talks as well. Being a little introvert-ish, I totally suck at small talk.
    Omg you can speak three effing languages! And Japanese being one of them?! I envy you (don’t worry I won’t kill you in your sleep)
    Seriously though, that’s very impressive.
    I love this community as well!! I’ve only been here for two months but I feel so lived and supported here! And finding these awesome blogs like yours. And interacting with all these wonderful people!
    Loved this post.

    • I’m grinning so much right now my mouth actually hurts… *takes a deep breath*

      okay, now I’m less of an overly ecstatic teen and more like a person who can respond to an epic comment:
      GOOD LORD, MATE! Is there anything that we DON’T have in common? I’m afraid I’d see your picture and find my reflection staring right back at me!
      And can I just say how glad I am to find someone who doesn’t, in fact, shy away from deep talks? Almost everyone I know does and it’s so refreshing to finally find someone my age who doesn’t! I’m sadly not fluent in Japanese but doing my best, still!
      And you’ve only been here for TWO months? Only? Woah! Bless you, mate; I’ve been round here for a while now (okay, yes, went MIA for sometime in the middle) and I’m not half as successful as you are! Still, I, too, am very pleased with the little family I’ve formed here and can’t express how happy I am to find people like you around (I mean, c’mon! We’re SO SIMILAR!)

      • It’s definitely something to ponder over lol.
        I think I fear that I’ll find my own reflection staring back at me too when I see your picture!!! (though I’m not very good looking, beware)
        All my friends are the ones that can just talk to anyone they want and its usually just small talk. But deep talks are the best. They’re the most refreshing and relaxing!!
        Well I have to say all that anime watching has taught me some Japanese phrases which now I use in every opportunity I get!! Konichiwa! Hajimemashite!
        And arigato gazaimasu for being so similar to me!
        C’mon your blog is so amazing I can see it growing heaps in the future and its already growing so fast. I love your blog, seriously. You successfully unleashed my inner fangirl in this blog!! I’m so excited.
        The blogging community is the best community!! I am so lucky to befriend such an amazing bunch of people (and meeting my twins!)

      • I’m sure you’re stunningly beautiful! (And not just because you may or may not be an exact copy of how I look XD ) Seriously, though, I agree on every thing you said up there! And it’s anime that got me into Japanese too! So yoroshiku onegaishimasu and dou itashimashite! It’s my pleasure having found someone so similar!
        And a big arigatou to all those wonderfully epic compliments on my blog; they just boost my self-confidence to no limits! I can definitely see why you’re so easily liked! I’m so glad I’ve gotten acquainted with you, mate~
